This fight just to stay in prayer is not a easy one, even for the most experienced believer. So do not give up the fight, for the Lord will send help your way in the form of His angels and the Holy Ghost. This will help keep the evil spirits off your back.
Time frames for receiving answers to prayers depend on what you are asking for, but many of my own prayers for spiritual growth take time to be answered, sometimes it takes days, weeks, and even years. These answered prayers are also some of the most valuable answers one can get.
Here is a good example of a prayer the will help you to see spiritual dreams and the answers to your prayers. The verse comes from the Holy Bible, in the book of Revelation.
Revelation 3:18 “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see.”
Here is the fast track, buy the gold! This is gold tried in the fire, and how you get this gold is by praying in your closet. Spend time in prayer in your closet until you receive this great priceless gold. This tried gold comes from going through those hard places of prayer in your heart. The gold can only be bought from Jesus, Himself.
How do you pay for this gold? It is with your labours. These labours are started with the closet prayer. Once you have the gold, you can buy eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you can clearly see into spiritual places, like dreams, visions, heavenly revelation, and great miracles. Maybe a secret miracle gift like to raise the dead. Raising the dead is a great gift for it tends to bring many to repentance and into kingdom God.
In the very next verse, we see what we must do in our closet first: Revelation 3:19 “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.”
Are you zealous to repent from sin? If this is too hard of a saying to start with, then pray to receive a heart of repentance. Ask for a teachable heart, one that loves righteousness. We need to ask in prayer for clean hearts which hate the evil sin in our own lives, first.
As we read in Revelation starting in 1:17 to 3:22 there is a lot regarding the word, repent, spoken in this part of the scriptures to the seven churches of God. The number 7 most often means full, or fullness. So it would be to all the church of God on earth, for God is the God of the ages, and time is no barrier to Him. A evil unrepentant heart is a barrier to Him. If there is sin in your life today, then repent quickly. Turn from sin that God may give you all His blessings and great gifts of the faith which He promises. Some of these blessings are found at the end of each of the 7 churches in Revelation.
Here are some of the blessings we seek and patiently wait for, besides seeing spiritual dreams:
- He will give us power over nations.
- Hold fast the crown that has been given you, and by all means, let no man take it from you.
- Receive true riches.
- To overcome evil, and to sit on thrones with wonderful glories all around you.

Acts 10:9 ..., Peter went up upon the house top to pray about the sixth hour. 10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, 11 And saw heaven opened and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four coners, and let down to the earth: 12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowels of the air. 13 And there came a voice to him, "Rise, Peter; kill and eat."
The greatest secret to seeing clear spiritual dreams (which leave little doubt in yourself of their meaning and that the dreams were indeed from the Lord God we serve) is this, how long do you spend with God in prayer? To many of the believers in Jesus, the Son of God, prayer is one of the hardest tasks to do, yet it is one of the most basic foundation pillars of the Christian walk. Should we be surprised that the pillar of prayer gets the most resistance from our enemy, the devil?
